Company History

Over the past 30 years, ZIEGERT has significantly shaped the market for owner-occupied flats in Berlin, starting trends and prompting developments. We never moved in a straight line, but we always moved forward. Here are the most important moments in our company history:

ZIEGERT offering flats in outlying Berlin neighbourhoods Reinickendorf, Weißensee, Pankow and Neukölln | One hundred employees | ZIEGERT sets standards in Berlin and gets itself an advisory board: Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Otto Schily and Dorothee Dubrau | LUX – marketing launch for our first new building in the luxury sector.

Spree-Invest-Portfolio hits the market/60 percent appreciation in three years | ZIEGERT takes shape and acquires its present logo

ZIEGERT sells in the Haus Cumberland on Kurfürstendamm | That same year, it sells the first flat to go for more than one million euros on Lassenstraße in Nikolassee | the first repurposing project in the Kofferfabrik/Kreuzberg/Köpenicker Straße | Die Rosengärten is the first project with more than 100 flats.

Crisis and boom | the housing demand in Berlin goes international, partly due to the lack of investment alternatives | ZIEGERT prints its first English-language memorandum

ZIEGERT online: the first homepage – comparatively late, but very special | ZIEGERT makes its first film. This is new territory, but emotionalisation is the key | Subprime, Lehmann and the consequences: the market stagnates for nearly a year. Then interest rates drop and real estate prospects are recognised.

Creation of a financing department | buyers can now also finance through ZIEGERT | The additional service becomes a competitive advantage: now, the customer can be fully informed from the outset.
